This guy was simply amazing on lots of levels all of them interesting and fun. His sharp mind, his fascinating stories, his legendary talent for finding gold meteorites and trouble were famous. Dennis and Bill Southern know him much better than I did, but the times I was around him made a lasting and meaningful impression.
