For gold metal detecting, we have a Minelab GPX-5000 and for general detecting an older Minelab Sovereign XS-2 Pro. Also have an old Gold Magic spiral wheel, etc. Anyway, our lets-go range is within 100 miles of Reno; longer outings are obviously a bit more planning. Always interested in any opportunities to get out and go prospecting, even gem, mineral, and fossil collecting. Other interests in include photography, star-gazing and astrophotography. Thanks!
